Sacha Cosmetics - Smokey Purple Lippie

 Lipstick fuh yuh money! I am LOVING Sacha's new matte line of Lipsticks; especially their new Smokey Purple lippie. To me, nothing says SEX-Y than a deep burgundy, purple and Sacha captured that emotion perfectly with this lip color. As it is a matte lipstick, I had to apply twice to get the color I wanted. I can't wait to do a review on the whole line.... Coming Soon!

Dreams Resort and Spa; Punta Cana

R.I.P to staying at just any Basic hotel anymore. My stay at the Dreams Resort and Spa in beautiful Punta Cana was nothing short of amazing. Never ending alcohol, never ending food, peacocks walking aimlessly around the  resort; along with a pool full of flamingoes AND mangoes on a stick = MIND BLOWN.

Now before my boyfriend and I had gone to Dreams, I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical about the establishment after reading several online reviews from patrons, criticizing everything from the food, to the rooms. I'm here to tell you ... DON'T BELIEVE THE LIES.  The resort is amazing!. The beach does have some seaweed in it, but we didn't let that stop us! COME ON! The water was beautiful and my family and myself enjoyed a dip in the beach every morning. If i had to criticize anything about the resort it would go as follows :

1)  there was too much food - too many options to choose from
2) too much alcohol - I mean come on! how dare you give me a never ending supply of alcohol!
3)ummmmmm.... errrmmmmm Why is everybody so happy and pleasant all the time there?
* And please note, those points are DRIPPING with Sarcasm .....okie!

 I would have to give Dreams an 8.5 out of ten. The resort was breathtaking and the food was amazing. Give it a try.! more pics below!

Kerly's Artistic Nails

 

  Kerly .... yuh besssss.... Now listen allyuh ... just like ah good man ... ah good Nail Tech is hard to find. If is not the poor attitude, is the poor design skills, if is not poor design skills, is the poor costumer service , if is not the customer service... iz something!!! But I honestly feel I've found my nail tech for life guys! I can honestly see her doing my nails for my wedding, my baby shower, the birth of my first child ... you get the picture. But yes ... enter Kerly's Artistic Nails. Located on the beautiful island of Trinidad, right in the heart of Point Fortin .... upstairs Markie John to be exact. Yes she is from South and she's all mines.
I first heard about Kerlisha thru my boyfriend's sister. She had gotten her nails done by Kerlisha a couple times and I was always blown away by how beautifully designed her nails were. I must admit that I was a bit weary about visiting her, because I'm thinking "Oh Lord she from Point, she might be trouble" lol. But my 32nd birthday was fast approaching and I wanted my nails to look amazing. So after stalking her Instagram ... (yes i stalked it!) I decided ... hey let me give her a try ... and I wish i had gone to her sooner! Look at the magnificence that resulted.

 When I arrived for my appointment, she made me feel at ease and was so friendly and ... she actually remembered my name!!!!!.  Now that touched me because let me be honest, I have sat in chairs before where the nail tech would do my nails ... and not say a WORD to me ... far less ask me my name. Plus there was no awkward silence , no gossiping, just a genuinely feel good conversation between two people.
 Kerly is quite professional and very, very humble and is truly on her way to becoming a master at her craft. Who knows where her skills will take her ... all I know is I going along for the ride ;D.

Happy Birthday To Me #Lifebeginsat32

Heyyyyyyy.... Guess who just turned 32?? This girl!

32 never looked this good!

Wow, I still can't believe that I am .. this ... OLD! :D But honestly ...turning 32 was sweeter than I ever imagined! I'm in a much better place in my life in so many aspects  and I honestly feel like this is when my life really begins. I'm so much wiser, more confident, like I know what I want in life now and I know how I want to live it  and I'm so ecstatic about that.
Anyways, I spent the day with the Love of my Life! He brought me breakfast, and the best RED VELVET CUPCAKES ... I EVER HAD ! We then went to dinner at KRAVE Restaurant in Marabella. I was really excited about that because I've been hearing ALOT of great reviews about KRAVE and to finally get to check it out on my Birthday just made the day more amazing.
Apparently; KRAVE had an Italian Theme that night and I was treated to an amazing pasta buffet, along with a wide selection of appetizers and Salad and Sushi. And I could not forget the sea-food station that was filled with mussels and clams and shrimp and calamari. I was in Italian/Seafood Heaven. I wish I had a lot more detailed pics for you, but I was living in the moment and was only able to snap a few selfies and take a few shots of the decor in KRAVE. But a more in depth review on KRAVE will be coming soon because I have to go back there. Anyways.... I hope you enjoy the shots  and stay tuned for more adventures.

Palki Authentic Indian Restaurant, San Fernando; Trinidad

What do you do when you're craving authentic Indian food in Trinidad? You head over to Palki's .... duh!? lol... Palki's Restaurant took my breath away last night. Now listen, the last time I had authentic Indian food was in Washington DC, how many years ago and once I left the U.S, I basically kissed having access to that cuisine good bye. But lo and behold, Thanks to my very persistent girlfriend Keisha ,  my girlfriends and I decided to check out the restaurant last night and I must say IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT. The portions were huge, the staff was friendly and the ambience was superb. I must say I fell in love with the restaurant when I walked in and saw the decor. It was just classy and elegant. But, I fell even harder when  I tasted the food. Ijust have to say Palki's is one of the best kept secrets in South Trinidad, and if ever you are in the San Fernando area and yuh feeling tuh try someting new ... definitely make your way down to Todd Street and check out Palki's Restaurant. Tell dem i send yuh ;D

Zip lining in Chaguaramas and Fetein @ D' Office

I'm literally sitting at my desk nursing a hangover. Thanks to last night's shenanigans ... i'm wearing my shades...indoors ... trying to hide from anything bright and enduring the stares and "ole talk" from my colleagues who want to know ... "Buh wuh going on wid you?". Lol... Let me just say last night's fete/birthday party/reunion was simply (in my Machel voice) E-P-I-C. It's not often me and my classmates (or my Classmates and I for the Grammar Police) come together but when we do ..we ALWAYS have a blast and this weekend was no different. But before i  get into that .....Let's start of with the Ziplining first shall we?

Yes, Yes, it's beautiful ain't it ? Let's take it in for a moment . Ok... so I wish I took more pictures of the scenery and the actual building and process we had to go through before actually ziplining, but i had no where to put my phone and I was not about to risk losing, breaking or dropping my Iphone 6. Homie don't play dat... fuh real. But Big ups to Markie for taking pics ...with Keisha's phone! Anyways I thought the staff and management of ZIPIT were remarkably friendly and professional and made sure that we were safe. I was impressed with the technicality of it all and how sanitary they were. I, however, wasn't to pleased signing waivers stating that if anything happened to me while ziplining ... ZIPIT would not be held responsible for my death or injuries ...yeah ..definitely wasn't pleased about that.

This is what we had to climb up to get to the zip lines. I was so scared!

But all in all it was an amazing experience and I definitely would do it again , but in a different Country.Oh while we were there they did say that sometime next year they will be having a new line over the beach, so that should be exciting. But all in all the cost for the Ziplining adventure is $140 TTD and with five lines to zip makes it pretty worth it in my opinion.

So we all gathered together last night to celebrate Che's birthday and when I said "WE" ...I mean classmates I hadn't seen in years (emphasis on YEARSSSSS) showed up. Man, I'm so glad I didn't duck them like I planned to. Ha! but yes it was a celebration and being with my old classmates was pretty awesome. Here's to an awesome bunch of kids who grew up and never lost contact with each other.
